DDRMAX

Post by Brolli411 » Fri Jan 03, 2003 2:00 pm

Anyone played this new Dance Dance Revolution game for PS2? It's supposedly the Dance Dance Revolution 6th mix, but I'm not sure if my source is reliable. It's pretty fun, and only $40, as opposed to $50 for regular games. I found a good deal at my local Target, I got the game ($40) and Two dance pads ($20 each, but on sale for buy one, get one free) for only $60. I've gotten pretty good, and it's tons of fun! Anyone else played it?

I'll rather spend my cash on a good PC game and multiplay with other people...

Ps2 just aren't my kind of thing.

It's DDRMAX, a kind of "improved" version of DDR actually. I play DDRMAX 2 7th Mix at a local bowling alley here in town. Mucho fun :) Also, I love the 4th Mix machine at Tee Time in O'Fallon... 50 cents a play, everything unlocked, and the pads and machine are well cared for :) Ahhh it's DDR bliss.

I have DDRMax. I can only the level 4 and 5 songs on light mode though. Then very few on standard mode.

Well, that's a pretty big if. There are a lot of Gamecube games out, and coming out that I'm going to buy, before I get a PS2.

DDRMAX in the USA is not DDRMAX (6th Mix) in Japan. Our MAX is like the last two DDR games... a sort of "best of" from recent games, plus some brand-new songs.

There's about 70 songs, total, I believe in the game. Lots of songs to unlock, few oni courses, blah blah.

DDRMax is a fun game, but the pads you got prolly won't last you more than a month (definitely a case of "you get what you pay for"). If you plan on doing a lot of this www.redoctane.com is a good place or you can buy another set of cheap ones and mount them on something solid so they'll last longer (don't ask me how, I've never done it, just read about it, they talk about it on gamefaq's ddrmax board).

I am a DDR fanatic and I received DDRMAX for Christmas, though I played it before then. It's a very good game for all of those DDR fans out there, but it lacks the original flare with its missing counter-part songs such as the original Dynamite Rave, End of the Century, and etc. DDRMAX was only released in the USA... finally, we've gotten the best FIRST. WOO. If anyone has any questions about DDR, I'd be glad to help... I play on Maniac, but went through all of the struggles of the light and standard stages.[/img]
