Don't wanna ressurect this too much, but...

as if anyone cared, an update:

This story has a happy ending. Went to the store and put in the deposit a couple of hours ago. So, now the countdown begins till Wednseday, when I'm supposed to have the built&configured thing arrive...

Congrats Otohiko, now all I need is a new computer. Kinda wanted Alienware so I could play some games. How would you rate Alienware?

very cool, but hella expensive. If you got the cash, buy it. Even if it's just to make your friends drool on it.

Ya, Alienwares look nice and are slightly over clocked but 2,000$ plus, i think not. The new computer I'm plannin gon getting is 945$ and it suits my gaming needs just fine.

Yeah, I know you don't need Alienware to play games. it was just an example.
And J-0080, it's because of the price that I don't think I'll be getting one in the near future. Maybe I'll just get a cheap Dell notebook.

And Otohiko, you should take pics of your new comp so I can look at it and drool over it, because I really need a new comp. The only good thing about my Sony Viao is the new Radeon 9800 I just put in it.

Why not build your own. I have seen jig saw puzzles, assembled by 3 y/o's that are more challenging than a PC build. (So I exaggerate?)
It’s not like you have to A+ certification to know how, I built my first PC (386 SX) when I was 12. 12! No matter the outcome it will be cheaper, and guaranteed to fit you needs better than any premade system on the market. Not to mention how much simpler it makes service.

There's probably nothing impressive about the look of that... but we'll see what it looks like when it's out.
