Something strange...

Okay, I'm trying to make a Tales of Symphonia amv, but I've had a list of problems.

-It zooms oddly. In the fullscreen preview it looks fine, but when I publish it it's zoomed in. Only a little, but still noticeably.
-There are lines on the left side of the video. I don't even know what this is about. o.o
-The full screen preview skips. I attribute this to WMM suckage, but still. It looks like it's supposed to, but it skips at the beginning of a new clip.

I attribute these problems to the fact that I'm editing a .mkv file, but I'm able to import, edit and publish it, but I'm working really hard on this amv, and would love if the final product was nice. I'm thinking of putting it into a contest. Any suggestions would be incredibly helpful.

some s/s would be of help and did u try opening ur mkv files through VDm via Avisynth? cos windows movie maker works best with huffy.

was your footages in huffy? cos huffy works best with WMM, although lag works well and is less bigger in files size. have you tried filtering your episodes/movie in virtual dub with avisynth? and if need to install the amvapp if u still havent downloaded it yet.
