• Comments: This was my technical overkill video. With this video I basically tried to get as many special effects and layers in there to make it look as visually dazzling as possible. While some parts I think worked really well (the flashing Ghost in the Shell scenes near the end), others make me cringe (some of the massively overlayed segments).
  
  All 3 sources used were about a character reaching a higher level of consciousness in some way or another, and was similar to the theme of the song. They also had some degree of the creepiness and sinister nature of the song.
  
  I ended up cutting over 2 minutes of the song out because, as talented as Trent Reznor is (on occasion), he can also be a self-indulgent hack. I didn't think a full minute of random moaning during the outro benefitted the video OR the song, so I went ahead and hacked that out. I also cut out a few portions that simply became repetitive...for instance, the intro (where I overlay the titles) in the original song repeats a few more times before the drums kick in.
  
  And once again, this page isn't letting me enter a new song in, so the song is "The Becoming" by Nine Inch Nails.
