Oh, Strong Bad/Kevin Caldwell/Ian Roberts. Thou speaketh the truth.

The last- and first- AMV I made was Invader Zim set to Germs, and I never really even finished that one. My only editing program is Windows Movie Maker, and I'm unable to rip footage from DVDs... so I pretty much gave up on making AMVs. I just watched them. And it would've stayed that way, except...

Except I couldn't sleep, and I had my laptop right there. And I noticed Windows Movie Maker and I started playing around with it. So I decided to challenge myself by making a very short lip-syncing AMV right there on the spot, despite the fact that I had no footage, no ideas, and no real experience with editing, much less lip-syncing. So I searched My Music and found the shortest "song" I had; a clip I'd downloaded off www.homestarrunner.com of Homestar saying "Here comes the Thnickaman!". It was a grand total of three seconds. I browsed through my AMVs looking for one with a character that would look the best saying Homestar's lines.

And what did I find? I found the All Star AMV done to Irresponsible Captain Tylor by Scott Meltzer. Easy choice, since I didn't have much else to choose from.

All in all, I think this video looks rather good considering that before I started it I had never tried to lip-sync and had had no idea how to use WMM. It's hard to mess up a three-second AMV, but since it took me three hours, I can still be proud of it. For a first attempt, I'm pleased with the results.

Since I can rip DVD footage now, fairly soon I intend to remake this short video and put it up for download. It's only three seconds long, but I can't help but love it.

Additional Note: As far as I know, this is the shortest video on the Org. Huzzah!
