A new MPEG-1 version has been added, if you think your computer to be slow, use that, but don't down on quality opinions, because the Xvid is a bit better on quality.

Well, I'm back, and with a new video just in time for Otakon 2004. Ayep, this would be my very first submission to Otakon ever. I will be attending the convention and I hope that this vid makes the finals, though, I doubt it will. Well, on to the editor's notes:

This video was a kind of spur of the moment type thing. While talking to a friend from my linkshell (Final Fantasy 11 "clan" ), he suggested I do a video to this song, 45, by Shinedown. Being the open-minded person that I am, I download the song and listen to it. After listening to it a few times over, I was just struck with inspiration. Granted, I had just recently watched Trigun and was "attempting" to do a collaboration with fellow Seenage Inc. member T-bone, but still, I just knew that this video had to be done.

Needless to say, I talked to T-bone and we put off our collab for a little while longer, knowing that we wouldn't able to finish it in time for Otakon ( ::sigh:: ) . So, I then started working on this video, with only about a week to the deadline.

I worked on this video EACH AND EVERY DAY of that week, for at least 4 hours a day, and because of my 12 hour work/school schedule, that meant very little sleep. As a matter of fact, after I had finished and was exporting my video in HUFFYUV, I pretty much passed out @ 4:00 AM in the morning (X_X).

    Video Notes:
This video is a sort of Serious Character Profile of Vash and how he becomes forced into using his weapon. It starts off as a sort of Timeline. As the lyrics (listed below) say, "Send away for a priceless gift", you see the SEED ships in flight in order to save the "priceless gift" of life and survival of the human race. "One not subtle" = how the frozen in time peoples is quite obvious and blunt of their main purpose; "One not on the list" = how they didn't exactly expect to have those 2 angels with them traveling to this new world. The rest of how the video fits is kind of self explanatory ^_^.

Since this is a more serious and dramatic type of video, I used a lot of Fade to blacks. This seemed to help set and keep pace of the mood of the song, and how each line is sort of broken up to describe certain parts.

Thats really all I can think of @ the moment ^_^. I hope you all enjoy the video, leave your opinion if you can!

    *Edit*

Ok, there seems to be a bit of confusion with this video. First off, none of the clips are supposed to freeze at all. If it does, thats your machine, not the video. I'm going to make an MPG version and see if it corrects any of these errors. Also, here are the lyrics, just in case you don't understand what the singer says:

Send away for a priceless gift
One not subtle, one not on the list
Send away for a perfect world
    One not simply, so absurd
In these times of doing what you're told
You keep these feelings, no one knows
What ever happened to the young man's heart
Swallowed by pain, as he slowly fell apart

And I'm staring down the barrel of a 45,
Swimming through the ashes of another life
No real reason to accept the way things have changed
Staring down the barrel of a 45

Send a message to the unborn child
Keep your eyes open for a while
In a box high up on the shelf, left for you, no one else
There's a piece of a puzzle known as life
Wrapped in guilt, sealed up tight

What ever happened to the young man's heart
Swallowed by pain, as he slowly fell apart

    [CHORUS]

    Everyone's pointing their fingers
    Always condemning me
And nobody knows what I believe
    I believe

    [CHORUS]
