Comments:
Where to start. There's a whole lot of stuff I thought of while making this video that I wanted to share with you. I suppose I'll just start typing and hope I remember it all.
The biggest problem I had while making this video was that there were so many different anime sources used, that the brightness and contrast... contrasted. The first time I rendered it, it hurt my eyes to watch it, because it would go from one really dark scene to one really bright scene. And at least one point, it was too damn bright, period. Also, a few of the scenes were so dark, you couldn't tell what was going on. I spent at least an hour, probably closer to two, going through and tweaking the brightness and contrast until I got it looking good. My eyes can handle the brightness, and I hope yours can, too, but if I were to tweak it any more, the color would look aweful. Don't let this stop you from downloading the video, though. When it comes right down to it, it's really not that big of a problem anymore. But if you still have a problem with it, then feel free to voice your opinion. Just remember that there's not a whole lot left I can do with brightness and contrast settings.
You might notice that the filename contains 'v5' in it. This stands for 'version 5.' Version one was never released, so you aren't missing anything. Version 2 was the first release of this video, and due to an oversight on my part, was of poorer quality than I was hoping for. 3rd version was simply a test of better quality exporting, and was never released. Version 4 was skipped. Version 5 is what you'll be getting, and I'm pleased to say that, though the file is quite big, the quality is a helluva lot better than the last release. Enjoy!
There's two catagories this video is under that I'm thinking people may disagree with. 'Action' is a catagory I used because there are multiple scenes of people getting beat up, stabbed, killed, or otherwise maimed, but it's all in good fun and humor. I don't know if that really counts, in the conventional sense, as 'action.' Also, while there isn't any dancing, there are people/things moving their bodies in a dance-like fashion to the upbeat-ness of the music. So the video is in the 'dance' catagory as well. Feel free to opinionate on the matter.
Lip syncing is something I must take the time in my life to get better at. For this video, lip syncing was secondary to syncing the footage with the music, so between my inexperience and semi-lack of effort, the lip syncing may be poor. However, I do not think it detracts from the video. I like to think that it looks good up against the 'old record' feel of the audio. Opinions, good or bad, are more than welcome.
My brother recommended that I go through and make the entire video either widescreen or 'standard.' I'm not as big on that as he is, and if it detracts from the video in any way, I didn't notice. I happen to like the way it looks, but that may simply be my artist's attachment to my work. If you happen to think one way or the other, please tell me. I might make future videos one way or the other according to people's opinions.
As far as spoilers go, I marked the videos that have really big spoilers. Spoilers that, like, spoil the ending and/or story of the anime. I did not get picky, however, and there are several animes listed that have 'minor' spoilers, but are not marked. If you're a spoiler buff, then don't watch this if you haven't seen the animes. But that is a given. I also happen to think that, if you don't actively search for the spoilers, they are hard to spot anyway.

ADDED March 18, 2004, 1:08 AM PST:
Someday, sometime, maybe, I shall deinterlace this video and see about putting it up again. Also, should I happen upon a better way to deal with brightness and contrast stuff, maybe I'll update that as well. It will not, however, be anytime in the near future, if at all.
ADDED August 22, 2004, 7:05 AM PST:
Video deinterlaced, quality upgraded. I have replaced the downloadable file on this site with a much better version of my AMV, and I'm pleased to say that I'm pleased with it. I hope you are, too.
