This one is in the "Other" category because it's a sentimental piece, and I think there ought to be a category for that. ^_-
Well, this one practically speaks for itself. I made it for the AWA 7 Masters. The idea came to me one night when my sister Denise and I were in the parking lot of our favorite sushi restaurant, looking for a space to park in. I had a Gordon Lightfoot CD in, and suddenly the lyrics started taking shape in my mind. And the shape was something big, round, and fuzzy.
I sent it to Masters, not because I thought it would win in that contest, but because I loved the idea so much, I had to do it right away. I wanted an audience, and that contest was the nearest one. That was good enough for me.
It was the most relaxing, pleasant video-making experience I ever had. I never made anything like this one before, but I'm sure this one won't be the last of its kind from me. Making something charming, with heart and soul it in, is too enjoyable not to do again.
Dave Peterson called this a bedtime story. And indeed it does have a lullabye quality to it. So...
