My first attenpt at creating an anime music video after seeing the Anime Music Contest at Otakon 98 and thinking to myself that it seemed like fun. I entered it at Katsucon 99 but never got any feedback to how the audience responded to it.
I love doing fun mindless videos to series that most anime fans might not come across. At the time (98-99) I never thought that Fairy Princess Ren (Elf Princess Rane) would ever come out domestically and loved the short series so much. Unfortunatley, the only video source that I could get was a second gen VHS fansub. As for the audio "Fire" by Scooter, the song just rocks.
I chose the song version with the slow soothing opening so I could contrast it with the rest of the video. Looking back the only thing I truely regret is not lip syncing one sequence, but it was a bit over my ability at the time. I recently found the R2 dvd of Fairy Princess Ren and may redo the video.
