• Comments: After the darkness of the Perfect Blue videos, I felt I absolutely HAD to do a completely positive video, as sort of a cleansing act before I do anything else, especially if that next vid ends up being on the dark side, and of all the remaining anime DVDs in my collection, this is the only one that I could take a totally uplifting spin on. Not only that, but in doing a bit of research around the site, it occurs to me that no one's done a Final Fantasy TSW vid that focused on, what I believe to be the true focal point of the film, the spiritual aspect. Most of them focus on the Deep Eyes blasting Phantoms left and right. Not that I have issues with people blasting things left and right...i LOVE when people are blasting things left and right.......its just one dimension of a multilayered story. This video is primarily lyric-based, as in the lyrics being the primary guide as far as what footage went in, and how it's presented....not a method I use too often (i think it's more or less just the Perfect Circle vid i went with that approach)....most of my videos tend to use the mood and overall message of the song more than anything else....but in this film's case, it works perfect.
  
  Not too much in the way of effects, aside from fades.....Ive been experimenting in the meantime with a few new effects to add to my repertoire, but i intentionally did this one sorta bare bones.....again, it's a cleansing video....i dont want to show my hand, effects-wise, just for the sake of showing my hand, all i wanted to present with this was a simple message of nothing ever truly being the end, or as dark as it seems. Life carries on, as the song says. Simple, yet effective, I think
  
  The biggest problem was the video....even though I was able to clean it up extensively, the simple fact remained that while regular cel animation is a bit easy to make look okay, making total CG look gorgeous onscreen is a bastard....it certainly explains why the DVD's bitrate hovers up around the 7-9 MB/s range.....but, I wouldn't have been able to clean it up this good without a load of help....so, with that said, I'd like to take the time to offer up many, many, MANY thanks to Arigatomyna for her sage advice.... she went kinda above and beyond the call of duty, and I absolutely have to thank her for that. Soooooo....thanks :-)
