Comments: And thus begins a string of videos blessed by the gift of a DVD ripper. It also seems to begin a string of videos that get finished in a mere couple of hours rather than the month and a half the Zim video took to finish on and off. So, some explanation necessary here, yah? Well, it started as a pretty basic video, just the usual random footage set to music. As I was going along, though, I was starting to fall asleep at the keys, and had a couple of REALLY freaky dreams in the space of a few minutes. And right when I woke up, I heard “When all we wanted was the dream…” True story. So, immediately, I got the idea to make this as abstract and dream-like as possible, focusing mostly on Setsuna, Sara, and Kira. And I think I pulled it off. Wish I could’ve done more with that montage, though. As for the song itself, well, it’s just one of many Sarah songs that gives me that nice haunting tingly feeling inside. And, while the series would lend itself easily to a Celine Dion/Faith Hill sorta vibe, I think it would’ve turned out too easy, and too cheesy.
