  • Comments: I realize this song is so very wrong and tasteless to use for SaiKano, but I just couldn't resist.

    For those of you know, SaiKano is an extremely dramatic, sad, and tragic show about a young high school girl who has actually been modified by the military to become "The Ultimate Weapon." Her romance with the main character, Shuji, and its aftermath basically finds every way to wring some sort of emotion out of you. Either it moves you to tears or it makes you laugh from its excessiveness. I already did my serious SaiKano video, so because I'm a sadistic bastard, I decided to make a happy video of death.

    The song, Bjork's "It's Oh So Quiet" is a song I've been wanting to use for years...but I originally wanted to use it to silly romantic effect, with a source like KareKano or Kodocha. In a kind of twisted way, however, the song really fits SaiKano. The main character, Shuji, is a normal high school student, and when he meets and falls in love with Chise, his world goes "Zing boom"...literally ^.^

    So basically, it's quiet, and there are quiet, peaceful scenes...and then there's explosions and carnage going on while peppy jazz kicks in and Bjork has a merry old time yelling and shrieking. To make things even more tasteless, I decided to throw in snazzy text graphics for the "Zings" and the "Bams". All in all, great fun for lovers of all things wrong. Enjoy.

    NOTE:
    I'll probably get docked for sound quality in reviews anyway, but I just wanted to note that the song is extra-soft on the original CD as well. Don't ask me why, it just is. I considered running audio normalization on it, but then thought that maybe it's soft on PURPOSE...I mean, look at the song's title for God's sake ^_^
