For this year's Tracon (Finnish convention) our studio (Moenmar AMV Refinery) had a challenge between members that who can get the worst AMV into the finals. In the end I was the only one to finish a video and what-do-you-know I DID get this monstrosity in!
I think I pretty much broke most of my personal "do-not-do-this" guidelines with this video. Masked character singing? check! Cheesy stock effects? check! Huge fucken lyrics text that takes way too much space and attention? check! Generally just stupid comical additional fluff? check, check and double-check! Voice-overs? ...hey even I have my limits.. but I'll just count the ending as one.. check!
It's a funny combination though and I like how some metal bands don't take themselves seriously all the time. This AMV also has slight amount of parody towards Equilibrium's official music video.
