This originated as an April Fools' joke for my subscribers over at the Site Which Must Not Be Named. I originally posted it there as though it were the latest episode of an ongoing series of Gantz parodies I do.
I originally intended to just have the whole thing be the song set to the bit of looped Kurono dancing, but then I decided to actually edit a little bit of the beginning to make for a better prank, making it seem like this was actually just a musical intro to an episode. The whole thing snowballed and before I knew it, it was a full-length AMV.
Edit 11/3/09: I've just been informed that this won second place in the Comedy category of the Saboten Con 2009 AMV contest. Bonus!
