  • Comments: I had long wanted to make a music video on Serial Experiments Lain, which is really a true gem of Japanese animation with a deep storyline and psychedelic scenes. Unlike in my previous two AMVs, finding a fitting piece of music was a long and painful process.

    After listening through loads of songs I finally decided to do a little promotion for a Finnish band. Luckily enough Apulanta have made some English versions of their songs, too. The one used in the video, "Circles", is a re-make of "Viivakoodit" (Bar Codes) from their album "Heinola 10".

    I couldn't resist the temptation to try out things with After Effects despite the fact that we n00bs are usually discouraged to put in fancy effects. Hopefully they don't disturb the viewing experience too much...
