• Comments: This is the longest any video has ever taken me to make (over 3 months), and has more different anime sources than I care to count. I borrowed a LOT of tapes to make this video, and at one point my floor was so buried in tapes that I couldn't walk in my room.
  
  I made this video while depressed from being dumped by my girlfriend of almost 4 years, and I did it as a way to cheer myself up. I was just starting to get over her, and wanted to make a video expressing the hope I had for the future. I have had a few people tell me they found the video depressing, though. My whole purpose was not to create a video full of jarring or powerful emotion, but to create a warm video that would simply make the viewer feel good for a few moments after watching it. And if I did get a little over-sentimental and cheesy, so bet it :)
  
  I feel that the song itself is what definitely drives the video, and it's one of the best songs by my favorite band in the entire world. I've even had non-Pumpkins fans say to me that this video caused them to give the Pumpkins another chance, which means a lot to me.
  
  I was shocked when this video won the AWA 6 Masters contest, as I was up against some strong competition. But I was also grateful that the judges recognized the emotion I poured into this video. As a friend said, my video won because "it had heart," which I suppose is true, since I didn't really do much in the way of technical "tricks" (except for the one scene where Hitomi jumps from black & white to color).
