• Comments: Describing Shin Hats video #66 (also Kuroi Kenshi #8) is a bit of an uphill battle; it's not quite horror, any character-profiling is pretty much nonintentional, there's not a major dramatic storyline, and there isn't much action either. What this video is, though, is simple enough: dead-serious Kuroi-Kenshi evil. Unfortunately there's no caption for that.
  
  Most of this video is pretty much straight-cut, but there are a couple easy and nearly transparent VDub effects (one flip, one deceleration), and a brain-wrecking Meimi/AviSynth sequence a little earlier than I usually throw "the effect" in. In several parts I took advantage of the filmography to make it LOOK like there are effects, but those who have seen the movie will know they're not.
  
  This video was intended for competition at Anime Boston 2003, but may show up in some other places as well.
