  • Comments: The section I created for DannyWilson's Mission: Improbable, where several creators got together and worked on 25-second sections of the same song, creating one long AMV where the talents and styles of different editors are highlighted.

    For my section, I used Dragon Half. The song chosen was a techno song, and the hyperactivity of Dragon Half seemed a perfect fit to me. I think my section came out really well. I'm reasonably proud of it, so I decided to put it up as one of my mini-videos.

    I chose to do the inverted-image strobe to create a flashing effect because the song made me think of dance clubs where they use strobe lights, and I wanted that feeling to be in the vid. I first tried a white frame every third frame, but I hated the way it looked, so I nixed that. I also tried the lens falre, but that was even worse. Then, I deicded to try inverted frames. Bingo. Small thing, however. Turns out that an inverted image on every third frame results in something that will give seizueres, even if you're not epileptic (hence the name). So, if you have epilipsy, please do not download this. I'd hate to hear that someone had to go to the hospital because my my video.
