  • Comments: The DDR track from hell... it's quite interesting to think about how we got a slot in this year's DDR project. I was lending some space on my server to Ian (AbsoluteDestiny) to let him show his DDR video to Quu and Kusoyaro, and the day after Quu IMs me because I am using a very well know host to him.
A couple of days later I see him online and I send the usual "Hello"... and he just replies back "I've got a slot in the DDR project: are you interested?"

    Lol...

Anyway, this is the first video where me and Cristina actively worked with four hands... we were planning to chew it in a couple of weeks, but things turned out to be a little more complicated than that. First, everything seemed to happen during this period (friends visiting, invitations, weddings). Second, working in couple is not as easy as it seems (if you could have seen us fighting over this video you would understand :p). But eventually we did it, and now our latest creation will be part of the DDR2 :D

It's a fun video, very gummy and cheesy... but what else do you expect with a song like this? :p
The anime is pretty obscure since it's a very new series broadcasted around 1:00 AM in Japan... we got some episodes and found it fun like hell. Cristina had the genial idea of perfectly matching it with this track... once she shown me a 5 seconds beta I couldn't think of any other anime for this video :p

We tried to balance off the right amount of effects with a plain and fast editing to draw the attention on some brief visual jokes. The result is entartaining in our point of view, but you'll see by yourself (when it will be available for download :p)
If you like any section in particular, that's probably Cristina's job... it's a shame to admit, but I left to her almost all the visual matching part. I have been concentrating more on timing and effects actually (not exactly easy, but surely easier). So, if the effects look too cheesy, you know who you have to blame :p

For anyone who is curious, or simply thinks that it should be not that much work to do a straight cut video like this, here is a screenshot of our timeline:

which actually doesn't include all the After Effect animations :p Probably it's not much for many of you, but we think it's still worth to take a look.

Many thanks go to Ian for his continuous support, beta testing and brainstorming help ^_^
