  • Profile: Well, since I have a new video up I figured I might as well update my profile too. :) Here are my personal ratings and thoughts on our past videos. They can be found on Spyral's account or at studiogaijin.org if you want to check them out.

    My personal ratings (at the moment):

    Had It Up to Here - 6.5
    This was our first video. It definately has its good points, and I still think it's a reasonably funny video, but I believe we have improved a lot since we made this.
    Slayers (Season 1) to "Just A Girl" by No Doubt

    The Joke Was on Me - 8
    I know I could do a better job on this technically today, but I think the idea is solid enough that it still holds up well. If you are interested in seeing something kinda' strange and disturbing with more dark humor, check this one out. :)
    Akira to Faith No More's cover of "I Started a Joke"

    Born Under a Bad Sign - 7.5
    I think that this video was something of a breakthrough for us, technically, and to an extent artistically as well. However, in the time since we made it I have started to see it in a different light. Whether it is from watching too many Cowboy Bebop videos that used the same footage, just realizing that it's lacking a certain spark that I wish it had, or something else, I just don't feel it as much as some of our other videos. Still, it's not a bad way to waste a minute and 43 seconds!

    The Beast in Me - 8.5
    I feel that this video is a pretty big step above our previous efforts in terms of technical/visual quality, and has a pretty solid idea behihind it. I haven't recieved too many comments on it so far, but I still like it quite a bit. :)
    Berserk to "The Beast in Me" by Nick Lowe

    Anger Management - 9+
    This is by far our best recieved video so far. It's the first to win awards (Best Video, Best Technical and Fluxmeister's VAT Award at AWA), it's pretty high in the top 10% of video ratings, and is currently getting some attention in the VCA plugging forum among other places. :) There are some minor flaws in it, I think, but it's still probably the best work we've done so far, and I'm glad people seem to like it.
    Perfect Blue to "Anger Management" by Lovage
