    In case you haven't heard of me before, I go by the name of Jeff and I do AMVs with my friend Nate as part of Nightowl Pictures. I'm more often recognized for my work with digital effects in Adobe After Effects and Particle Illusion, working with many, many people I am honored to have as friends, but I started out doing dramatic and subtle videos.

    I'm currently a New Jersian, having graduated from the School of Visual Arts (NYC) with my bachelors degree in Graphic Design and Motion Graphics. I've been a fan of anime since the Saturday Anime showings on Sci-fi Channel and have worked on AMVs since 2001. A friend of mine in high school introduced me to Evangelion (which begun my descent into otakudom) and AMVs like "Used to Love Her" with Guns N Roses and Eva, and Fly By Night Design's "Spider."

    I then further descended into dorkdom by being the first to review 100 AMVs on this site. After a couple experiments in Premiere, I decided to put up and shut up and did Every Breath You Take Re-Edit, which was my first working experience with After Effects. Then that same summer, I had no money, lost my car to my sister, and had surgery done which had me woozy for a month. The stranded desperation led to my next video, Numb.

    I met Nate Bezner in the AMV.org chatroom and after helping him subtly on his Love is Flowers video, he offered to help with the guitar solos on Numb. As soon as it was finished, I was a member of Nightowl Pictures.

    We've won many awards, hosted panels drunk and always love to come out with something you'll never expect. Also thanks to Nate I was handed Brilliant2U, a track on the DDR Project (2nd mix) and then worked on Leading Cyber the following year for 4th mix. Both videos allowed me to go nuts with digital effects, and the fast-pace editing I picked up from MTV in the 80s led me to get comments like "OMFG"... which I still love hearing.

    I've worked on MEPs, hosted more panels on how to edit video, and am currently a staff member of AnimeUSA and Otakon. Because of a great professional relationship with Vicbond007, I've been given fantastic opportunities. My latest project, which has garnered the most acclaim of my entire career as an AMV creator, is the Otakon AMV Contest Intro. It's my tribute to Daicon IV, and if it is to be the last AMV I make, then I'm more than happy with that. It's been fun.
