I installed AviSynth on OSX 10.11.3 using PlayOnMac.
When I open an avi (or mp4, doesn’t matter if it’s directly in VirtualDub or via an .avs), Virtual Dub shows me the first frame of that video but doesn’t transport. When I hit play, the screen goes black. But when I click somewhere outside of VirtualDub, it shows me the frame where the playback is at that moment.
So, VirtualDub seems to be playing back the video, but it’s not displayed.
With the exact same installation and video files it works on 10.9.5. (thanks to l33tmeatwad)
Does anyone know how to fix this? Is this working for anyone on 10.11.3?

I would check the Display settings under configure and play around with the settings to see what works. Worst case scenario you can try scrapping that wine instance and try setting it up again.

Thanks l33tmeatwad.
Turns out I forgot to change the Direct Draw Renderer to gdi. Sorry for that. Now I did that and it works as expected.
